Jeff Russo (* 31. August 1969) ist ein US-amerikanischer Komponist, Songwriter, Gitarrist, Sänger und Musikproduzent und Mitbegründer der US-amerikanischen Rockband Tonic.

Russo ist auch bekannt als Komponist für verschiedene Fernsehserien, wie Fargo, Legion, Counterpart, und Star Trek: Discovery. Er schrieb zudem die Musik der Mini-Serie The Night Of und den Soundtrack des Videospiel-Adventures What Remains of Edith Finch. Für seine Arbeit in Fargo, gewann er 2017 den Emmy-Award Musikkomposition für eine Miniserie, einen Fernsehfilm oder ein Special.

Leben

In letzter Zeit schrieb Russo Musik für Filme, Fernsehserien, Videospiele und Werbespots, darunter die ABC-Dramaserien The Unusuals und My Generation, die USA-Network-Serie Dr. Dani Santino – Spiel des Lebens, die CBS-Thrillerserie Hostages und zurzeit die FX-Dramaserie Fargo sowie die Starz-Dramaserie Power. Er schrieb zudem die Soundtracks der zweiten Staffeln von Extant und CSI: Cyber.

Ende Juni 2020 wurde Jeff Russo ein Mitglied der Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.cite-ref-1[1]

Russo ist mit der Musikerin Nina Gordon von der Band Veruca Salt verheiratet, sie haben zusammen zwei Kinder.
